Can I ask a question before paying?
Yes. Use Ask before paying to email contact@jqcreview.com about scope, deliverables or a potential conflict. An enquiry is not an order and does not start a review or include a free journal assessment.
Why pay for a review when the criteria are public?
You are paying for a journal-specific application of the criteria: evidence review, a consolidated correction list, guidance on what proves each correction, and one focused re-check within 90 days. Read the public criteria and our sample first. If you already have a recent assessment covering these needs, you may not need another review.
Is this an official JPPS assessment?
No. JQC does not award JPPS stars or act on behalf of AJOL or INASP. JPPS is a separate assessment framework. JQC provides an independent readiness review against the named indexing frameworks, not accreditation or guaranteed inclusion.
Do you guarantee indexing?
No. The review identifies evidence-supported strengths and gaps. Only the relevant indexing organization can make an indexing decision.
Does every journal need a DOI?
No. DOI use is assessed in context and is not treated as a universal requirement. If a journal uses DOI, the review checks whether the identifiers and links work reliably.
Do you request confidential peer-review files?
Not as a standard requirement. The service reviews public policies and visible journal practice. Private material is requested only when a separate, justified scope is agreed.
What will the publisher receive?
A concise PDF readiness report and an Excel action workbook. The workbook identifies the evidence, the current result and the actions that actually require a publisher response.
What happens after corrections are made?
One focused re-check is included within 90 days. It covers the items the publisher corrected and provides a closure update.
How much does the review cost?
The standard price is USD 395 per journal. The founding offer is USD 245, with lower per-journal founding rates for publisher portfolios. The offer is limited to the first 15 journals or the first 90 days after public launch, whichever comes first.
How long does the review take?
The review is normally delivered within five business days after payment and receipt of the required journal information.
How do I pay?
